How Do I Apply?

Students who have shown outstanding motivation, scholastic ability, and intellectual achievement in high school, in addition to extracurricular and community involvement, are encouraged to apply to the Honors College at Washington State University. The Honors College welcomes students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds who are willing to take risks and want to engage in this special academic opportunity.

Acceptance into the Honors College is competitive, and spaces are limited. As a guideline, prospective students should consider that the (unofficial) average grade point average for the true freshmen of the Fall 2005 entering class was 3.89 with an average SAT of 1295.

The early notification postmark deadline is December 1, 2005.
(For students who want to be among the first to
be notified about admission to the Honors College.)

The priority application postmark deadline is January 31, 2006.
(This is also the WSU priority application deadline.)

The residual application postmark deadline is March 1, 2006.
(Applications will be considered on a space-available basis.)

Please Note:
The Honors College does not require an extra application fee to apply or to participate.
• Your application to WSU must be in progress before you will be considered for the Honors College.
• You must also receive an offer of admission from WSU before final acceptance to the Honors College.
