American Federation for Aging Research (MERCK/AFAR Research Scholarships
in Geriatric Pharmacology, Medical & Pharmacy Students)
This award is for Medical and Pharm.D. students to help fund a two to
three-month full-time research project in geriatric pharmacology.

Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons
The award is open to students accepted to or enrolled in an accredited
U.S. or Canadian four-year or graduate school.
Scholarship Award Amount: up to $1000
Eligibility: RN candidates must have completed their first year of program.
MD or DDS candidates must have been enrolled for at least two years in
a medical or dental school. All others must be in at least their third
year of a four-year program. Pre-med students are not eligible. Applicants
must be an U.S. or Canadian citizen.

Jewish Vocational Service (Marcus and Theresa Levie Educational
Fund Scholarships)
The award is intended for Cook County residents of the Jewish faith who
are planning careers in the medical fields.
Scholarship Award Amount: Up to $5,000
Eligibility: The award is for undergraduate juniors and seniors, and graduate
students. Applicants should express a financial need on their application.
85-100 scholarships are awarded each year.

National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA) Foundation
The scholarship is for student members of NCPA who are full-time pharmacy
students at an accredited U.S. school of pharmacy. The award is issued
to students demonstrating academic achievement and leadership qualities.
Scholarship Award Amount: Up to $2000
Field(s) of Study: Health and Medical Sciences
Eligibility: The applicant must be enrolled full-time at a four-year institution
or university. The candidate must also have a 2.5 GPA or higher. The award
is restricted to U.S. citizens. This is a one-time award for college juniors
or seniors.

National Research Council (Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral
Fellowship in Biological Sciences)
This five-year award is open to college seniors and first-year graduate
students pursuing a Ph.D or Sc.D. degree. U.S. citizens may choose any
institution in the U.S. or abroad. Foreign students must choose an U.S.
institution.
Scholarship Award Amount: $16,000 stipend + tuition at U.S. institution

Eligibility: The scholarship will be awarded based on ability, academic

Presbyterian Church (USA) Grant Program for Medical Studies
This renewable scholarship provides funding to full-time students pursuing

Scholarship Award Amount: $500-$1500

Eligibility: Applicants must be members of the Presbyterian Church, be
U.S. citizens/permanent residents, demonstrate financial need, be recommended
