Leila Hajibabai, Ph.D.
Welcome to Leila Hajibabai’s research gate. Dr. Hajibabai is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Washington State University.
Dr. Hajibabai holds a B.Sc. degree in Civil and Surveying Engineering (with honors) from K.N.Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran in 2004, and two M.Sc. degrees, one in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Tehran University, Tehran, Iran in 2006, and the other in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), in 2013. She received her Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, with a special focus on Transportation Systems, from UIUC in 2014.
Dr. Hajibabai’s research interests lie in the areas of transportation planning and logistic systems optimization, with particular focus on network routing and planning, sustainable and economic infrastructure development, freight logistics, life-cycle analysis, asset management, and GIS applications in transportation systems. She has been actively working on research projects sponsored by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the Lake County Division of Transportation, and CSX Transportation, Inc.
