Amir Mirheli, Ph.D. Student
Amir Mirheli received his B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in July 2013, and M.Sc. degree in the field of Construction Engineering and Management from University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in July 2015. When he was a bachelor student, he was also working as a technical expert in treaty affairs of Passillo Consultants Engineering Group in Iran and hence became interested in continuing his future research in the area of cost estimation and engineering economics in transportation systems. Therefore, he focused on the development of cost estimation models for railroad projects in his M.Sc. thesis and further identified key parameters that significantly affect the overall costs in railroad construction projects. Amir's research interests also include infrastructural asset investments and financial decisions, cost-effective resource allocation under uncertainty, development of intelligent infrastructure systems, and sustainable construction. Beyond his research involvements, Amir enjoys playing Santur (traditional Iranian instrument), playing tennis, and skiing.
Debashis Saha, M.Sc. Student
Debashis Saha has completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in July, 2014. He was ranked among the top 5% students of his department and has earned numerous accolades during his stay in BUET. After graduation, he worked as a lecturer in Stamford University Bangladesh for a brief period. Then he joined University of Asia Pacific (UAP) as a lecturer. Debashis’s research interest includes Transportation Planning and Logistics Systems, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Sustainable Transportation, Transportation Systems Modeling and Optimization. He has co-authored two international conference papers. Besides his research interests, he keeps interest in travelling. He is also a sports enthusiast and enjoys playing football.
