R&D ProjectGraphic

Due: 3 p.m. Friday, April 6, to Blackboard.

Overview
Information is commonly "repurposed" for other or new audiences or goals, often as visual presentations. A report on a new drug, for example, may have key results and recommendations "repurposed" into a glossy, colorful internet advertisement targeted toward potential customers. For this project you will "repurpose" your research for a different audience than your written report and create a graphic that both shows your key findings and showcases your understanding of, and ability with, design principles.

Assignment
Create a graphical presentation of your research which highlights key findings for a different audience than your written report. The graphic may take the form of a website, a brochure, a flyer, a tutorial designed to teach a specific audience about your issue topic, a process guide for implementing your research, a public service announcement or other video, or various other graphical formats. What you create is up to your team and should demonstrate your understanding of key concepts, including audience, purpose, usability, research, and design principles.

You will be graded on:

You may use templates as starting points but you must be prepared to demonstrate (and if necessary document in your written report) how you adapted the template. Graphics which closely resemble a template may only receive partial credit.

Please choose either MLA or APA style to document ideas not your own, including graphics you take from elsewhere. All sources must be documented in the design. Keep in mind many companies and organizations, including WSU, require you to get permission to use their graphics and designs.
