Welcome and treats ¡V Cheryl 

Update on MBA Networking Reception ¡V Erika

        Sign up to help with clean up

The reception will take place on October 2^nd from 3-5pm in Beasley Coliseum.  Brad will bring up changing the time of 2009 cohort marketing exam in order for them to attend the event.  The 2008 cohort MIS class is canceled for the event.  We need volunteers to help clean the room after the event. Please let Erika know if you can help.  Kelley volunteered to help.  Other volunteers needed please.

 

Reminder of Foster Farms Career Information Session ¡V Erika

Soda and water will be provided for this event from Stefany Unda.  Foster Farms has a great presentation including funny commercials.  There were also prize giveaways last time they visited with MBAs.  Foster Farms offers many full time opportunities.  Please help promote this event to classmates.

 

Plan for service event ¡V Colin

        Relay for Life?

Colin will send out an email with updated information.  We will be participating as our own MBAA team.  A sign-up sheet will be in TODD 109 for times to sign up to walk.  You can sign up to walk and/or pledge donations.  Please market this event to all students.  T-shirts will be provided to the first 20 that sign up to participate.

 

Discuss October social event ¡V Erika and Brad

        Bowling night

Any thoughts about social events?  Ideas included: game night, movie night, bowling.  We will have a bowling night in October, movie night in November.  Bowling night will be October 18^th.  Brad is planning this event.  Stay posted for more details.

 

Decide on Dad¡¦s weekend fundraiser ¡V Jon

        Pick an idea and start planning

Jon is sick.  Erika is reading information Jon emailed to her about ideas he had found.  Biggie boxing- not feasible in the area.  Hit a car- car costs at least $500 to transport to a location.  Jon had the idea of a ¡§hotdog eating contest.¡¨  Group liked this and will follow up with options for the contest.

 

Collect dues ¡V Jon

        $10 for the year

        Erika will collect dues and give them to Jon.

 

Update on Leadership Seminar ¡V Amy

Amy is meeting people on who were on the Leadership Seminar committee last semester.  There will probably not be a Leadership Seminar this semester but probably will be two large seminars in Spring semester.  Amy does not need help at this time, but will in the future.

 

Open floor

The website is not yet running due to technical difficulties.  As soon as it is working, minutes and information will be posted.

 

Ben Ford will attend the Business Leadership Council and report on the council meeting next MBAA meeting.
