October social event previously scheduled for Oct. 18^th needs to be postponed due to time conflict with the 2008 cohorts evening Business Law exam.  Date will be set at a later time.

 

Announce possible upcoming career events ¡V Erika

        Merrill Lynch

Watch for an email from Stefany about an information session with Merrill Lynch.  Pizza will most likely be provided.  Information session will be on Wed, October 17^th from 12-1pm.

 

Update on Dad¡¦s weekend fundraiser ¡V Jon

Jon spoke with Campus Involvement about the logistics for the hot dog eating competition planned as the MBAA fundraiser to be held Fall 2007 semester.  The limited amount of time before Dad¡¦s weekend make this difficult to plan due to the need of special permits, insurance, etc.  Some options suggested were: 1) Plan the fundraiser for Spring 2008 semester, 2) plan for Dad¡¦s Weekend 2008, 3) Not do a fundraiser because we do not know what to spend money on.

 

Jon suggested selling Krispy Kreme donuts before the football game on Dad¡¦s weekend.  The donuts would cost us $4 per dozen and could be sold at a profit.  Everyone liked this idea; we will be doing this as a fundraiser.  Details will be ironed out next meeting.

Update on Leadership Seminar ¡V Amy

This is now called MBA Ambassadors and Amy has been participating in the meetings.  It will most likely be implemented Spring semester.  More details to come in November.

        Ben is not at meeting to give an update.

Jeffery will get the photos taken for the Resume books to post on the website.  Colin is attending the GPSA meetings and can give him any feedback to report at those meetings.
