MILES ADDISON PEPPER
SCULPTURE
Untitled Kinetic Sculpture,19' x 68" x 20", metal, 1994
My sculptures are kinetic constructions set into motion by the natural movement of air. They join my formal concerns as a sculptor with my affinity for the "machine aesthetic" and my interest in the use of energy sources in nature. In ironic contrast to the dominant perception of the machine as a means to the management of the environment, I often view my sculpture as dancing with the wind.
