English as a Second Major |
Upon completion of 90 semester hours fill out a Petition for Certifying a Second Major or a Minor card. This can be picked up in the Department of English.
Bring a copy of your WSU transcript, high school transcript, and Report(s) of Advanced Standing (if you have transfer work) to Avery 202.
Approximately one month after filling out the petition stop by the Department of English to pick up your "To-Do List." This will let you know what courses you need to complete for graduation.
You must complete all of the requirements for the Department of English exclusive of the GERs. However, you only need 120 credit hours to graduate with your first degree.
Upon completion of all coursework, your transcript will indicate that you have a second major.

English as a Second Degree |
Complete an Undergraduate and Professional Degree Application in Avery 202 and take it to the Cashier's Office (French Ad, Room 240) to pay your $25 application fee.
Take the receipt from the Cashier's Office, along with your completed application form, to the Registrar's Office. This will generate a "To-Do List." This will tell you what classes you must complete to graduate and will be mailed to you in approximately one month. Usually this should be done as soon as you declare a second degree.
Upon completion of all coursework and a total of 150 hours your transcript will indicate that you have a second degree.
